Warwick Sargeant
With 30 years of Clinical Experience, Warwick loves the Varied Case Load that Private Practice brings every day. Everything from an Acute Ankle Sprain to a Complex Musculoskeletal Condition. Particularly rewarding is the resolution of Chronic Conditions which can become Lifestyle Inhibiting if left untreated. Warwick still enthusiastically engages in constant continued Professional Development and is a committed long term member of the Manual Therapy and Sports Physiotherapy Special Interest within the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Due to his Physical Education Training and Teaching experience, Warwick understands the Biomechanics and Technique Nuances in a Broad Range of sports including the water sports of swimming and kayaking and the throwing and striking sports of cricket, baseball and softball. Having played Local Premier League soccer, A Grade tennis and Grade rugby gives Warwick first hand knowledge of injuries and the prevention thereof in these sports.

Warwick’s wife Anne, an Australian Netball Legend, has insisted on his attendance at Netball Courts from 1978 ‘til the present day and so Warwick has an extensive knowledge of the the Game’s Rules, Patterns of Play and in particular Injuries. There are now available special test to ascertain whether your daughter is at a greater risk of Knee Injury than most for example. There are, equally, Training Programmes for the Prevention of Knee Injuries in Netball which Warwick can supply.

 

Lauren Ling
Lauren graduated from Sydney University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Applied Science ( Physiotherapy ) . She was a recipient of a Sports Scholarship in Tennis during her University study due to her exceptional ability in that sport .

Many years of experience in various Private Practices have enabled her to optimally treat a wide range of Musculo-Skeletal injuries and Spinal Conditions and gain an extensive knowledge in Exercise Prescription and Rehabilitation .

Lauren has a particular interest in Sports Injuries and , since graduating ,has completed continuing education courses in Sports Physiotherapy , Dry Needling and Patello-Femoral (Kneecap ) Pain to name a few . Lauren , as a result , has worked with various local and Representative Sporting Teams in Rugby Union , Track and Field and Swimming .

Additionally , Lauren has special interest in Fibreglass Casting of Fractures and personalised splinting for Hand Injuries , using Thermoplastics .

Lauren is a mum of 3 who has just moved to the Northern Beaches with her husband and family and they can’t wait to become familiar faces in our schools and Avalon community .

Professionally , Lauren assigns time for a full patient history and an accurate diagnosis . Her focus thereafter is the implementation of the correct course of action to achieve the Optimal Recovery . This may entail appropriate Manual Therapy , Dry Needling if required / requested and Exercise Prescription or combinations of the above . Treatment is tailored to your specific condition’s requirements .

Richard Mills
Richard graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy in 2017 , having already had previous careers in the Skateboarding , Snowboarding , Surfing , Entertainment , Film and Television Industries . A long association with Skateboarding , Snowboarding , Surfing and , more recently , Mountain Bike Riding , has resulted in many personal experiences with  Musculo-Skeletal Injury and the burden it can cause.

Cumulative wear and tear led over time to an interest in Yoga and Strength and Conditioning practices .

Richard , in his professional guise , draws upon Hands- On Physiotherapy techniques , Mobility , Strength and Conditioning , knowledge of Pathology , and the Science of Pain to create tailored and caring treatment plans for clients .

Richard bases his interventions on his clients’ individual needs , working in partnership to create and meet their short , medium and long term goals . Richard loves getting people back to what they need to be doing, whether that be physical activity , playing with the grandchildren or just getting through the day pain free .

Richard has developed a strong interest in Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation in all sports . His passion being in the Board Sports and Mountain Biking . He enjoys working with patients across the age spectrum , from Grom to Fossil .

To that end Richard constantly continues his study in Professional Development courses across a wide variety of areas to the advantage of his patients . Recently “ Optimizing Biomechanics and Rehab in Cycling “ with the past Head Physiotherapist of Cycling Australia ,  amongst many others .
